Erin Whitmore
(She/Her/Hers)
MSW, RSW
Welcome! I’m Erin. I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Master of Social Work degree from Dalhousie University. I provide psychotherapy for adults with a focus on trauma recovery, burnout, and life transitions. I have a particular interest in supporting survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, and other forms of gender-based violence, as well as leaders and frontline workers in feminist and social service settings who are navigating the emotional toll of their work.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in feminist, trauma-informed, and narrative practices and integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I have completed additional training and certification in CBT and Women’s Reproductive Mental Health through Wilfrid Laurier University, and I draw on strengths and solutions-based approaches to help clients reconnect with their resilience, values, and sense of possibility.
With more than 15 years of experience in the gender-based violence and social services sector, I understand the complex realities of trauma-exposed work, where care, commitment and pressure often intersect. I offer a collaborative and relational space to reflect, process, and create meaningful change.
